IACS PARTICIPATION AT NCSR 9
In demonstrating its ongoing commitment to support the work of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), and within its remit as the Organization’s principal technical advisor, IACS will participate in the ninth session of the IMO’s Sub-Committee on Navigation, Communications and Search and Rescue (NCSR 9) which will meet from 21 to 30 June 2022.

This year's AR includes a broad range of articles on IACS’ work in 2021 including on the continuous support provided to industry during the COVID-19 pandemic, Safe Decarbonisation, Remote Survey and Cyber Resilience. IACS adopts new requirements on cyber safety
Building on extensive collaboration, and utilising the experience gained from its existing Recommendations, as well as developments at IMO including MSC.428(98), IACS has adopted two new IACS Unified Requirements (URs) providing minimum goal-based requirements for the cyber resilience of new ships and for the cyber security of onboard systems and equipment.
